FIRST SAVE YOUR REGISTRY.......SAVE IT UNDER ANY NAME....JUST SAVE IT :-)
OKAY... Lets save the registry..

Save the registry as follows:
Choose-> START | RUN
Type-> regedit in the text box
click OK
Choose-> FILE | Export Registry
EXPORT the registryn to a new filename of your choice.
{Remember where you SAVED it!}

Now Then, here we go!
Choose-> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
                      System
                         CurrentControlSet
                               Services
                                      VxD
                                          MSTCP click on this folder

OKAY GOOD SO FAR NOW......
In the right pane window, right click in a free space
choose NEW
               String Value
Enter this new name-> DefaultRcvWindow
JUST AS YOU READ IT LETTER FOR LETTER CASE MATTERS

OKAY almost home :-)
NOW....
Right click on the new filename-> DefaultRcvWindow
- choose MODIFY
- Enter this value->256000
- close the window
- Exit out of the registry
REBOOT you done!! That wasn't so hard was it... :-)

Will definetly pick up some more speed.

WHAT THIS DOES......
Windows defaults to reading 256 bytes at a times. dull!!
Why you ask..okay Because it is setup to work in a LAN environment only.:-(
Yes MaxMTU is good too. But MaxMTU also depends on the ISP and the connections envolved.
You just created a RECEIVE WINDOW {buffer} this allows windows to gather (nnn) bytes by 4bit packets.

phew!
The result window reads it now, NOT waiting for the information 256 bytes at a time when the internet feels like it. ENJOY People.
